Main Board Overview

This is the board that everything connects to. It is what the TQMa6x SOM plugs into, and contains all the circuitry needed to run it. It also contains the pic32.

Chips

In no particular order:

part location ref description & notes
SMSC USB2660i top IC601 Dual SD card reader with integrated USB hub. Appears to be connected to the SOM's second root hub. First external downstream port connected to the SMSC USB2514Bi.
SMSC USB2514Bi bottom IC800 4 port USB hub. Third downstream port connected to the FTDI chip.
FTDI FT231XQ bottom IC805 USB to UART converter for the barcode reader.
SMSC USB2512Bi bottom IC600 2 port USB hub. Possibly only accessible by the usb_service connector.
PCF2129T bottom IC200 RTC, battery backed.
24LC64 bottom IC503 8kbyte i2c EEPROM, probably for the pic32.
ST 24c04wp bottom IC603 512byte i2c EEPROM, maybe for the USB2660i's configuration data?
KSZ9031MNXIC top, under SOM IC(4?)00 Ethernet phy.
TI TS3A5018 top, under SOM IC301 Marked “ya018”. Analog switches, maybe for the SPI flash?
25Q128A top, under SOM IC302 16Mbyte serial NOR flash. Contains the bootloader for the SOM.
74HCT4051 top, under SOM IC50(?), IC502 Two analog switch chips, might be USB related.
PIC32MX795F512L bottom IC500 pic32
- top IC902 Unpopulated footprint for a TI WL18xx WiLink module.

There are a few more scattered around. Most are likely for power management, but this list is also missing an audio amplifier.
